Tours and Adventures
Use Tamarindo Shuttle or the Occidental Hotel Concierge (right next door) to book tours and adventures.
- We recommend Rincon Del La Vieja (National Park). Day adventure (40 minutes north from Liberia airport) or overnight (2 hours from Playa Langosta). Stay at Hotel Hacienda.
We recommend the Tamarindo Estuary Tour (National Park). It’s about 2.5 hours with transport for $35 /pp.
Swimming and Surfing
The surf breaks out in front of the townhome. They are for advanced surfers and strong swimmers only, so be
sure you see the layout at low tide before going out.
- The three main surf breaks out front are Langosta River Mouth, El Sap, and Cape Town.
- A more easy/moderate break is at Capitan Suizo, Alameda exit #17, and beginner breaks are on Tamarindo Beach. (2 minute drive or 10 minute walk) and this location connects with the entire Tamarindo bay beach, so choose the spot that works for you.
- Swimming can be enjoyed right in front of the river mouth, at Alameda exit #17, all of Tamarindo Bay or in any of the tide pools, which are best at mid or high tide.
- If concerned about swimming at Langosta river mouth, check in with the lifeguard on duty in front of the Occidental Hotel.

There is a shop within 5 minutes’ walk from the town home. Go to the El Sap Italian Restaurant across the road. Walk past it
to the road on the left, and the shop is just a few steps up that street on the right side.
